About us
We are an Anglican Church, in the Diocese of Brandon, in the Anglican Church of Canada. Christ Church is blessed and honoured to be one of three Anglican Churches, located in our area. Christ Church of The Pas was founded in 1840, and is the first Church of the Devon Mission. We became part of the Diocese of Brandon in 1929, and are pleased to also be a part of The Pas Deanery. Each of us are on a journey, living our mission through our past, present and future, all connected by God's big story.
Our Mission Statement
We aim to be a worshipful parish where God is honoured and all people are welcomed, accepted and affirmed.
We encourage God’s people to identify their gifts, by providing opportunities for spiritual growth, direction, and knowledge of Christ as our Lord and Saviour.
We appreciate our Christian heritage, and faithfully share the gospel of Christ with others welcoming all to the Christ Church Anglican family.
We strive to be agents of reconciliation, healing, and support to a hurting world, and acknowledge our responsibility as stewards of all God’s resources.
We celebrated Pride and are allies with all our 2SLGBTQIA+ family.
Our Emblem
Our GROUNDS
We are proud to announce that our church grounds and cemetery have been certified as a Wildlife-Friendly Habitat.
our TEAM:
All Humanity
A representation of the four directions of indigenous culture, each unique, yet all joined together at our cores through Christ, the “human” aspect of God who created us all from the depths of love.
The Cross
A reminder of Christ’s Gift of eternal life to us.
The shape and colouring are a nod to the history of the church building (stained glass) and to the people of this region.
Trinity on Earth
Symbol of the Earth: The home God made for us that will one day be restored to Glory.
Symbol of Protection: The Trinity protecting this Earth, the people and all that is created.
Holy Trinity: Shaped like a flower, that grows in us all.
